Green Desert Energy

Solar Botanic Electricity Generation in Desert Regions

The desert has a unique beauty and a abundance of renewable energy, we believe that we can preserve the beauty and exploit its resources without doing damage to the desert Ecosystem.

The desert regions are some of the most magnificent ecosystems of this world: unique natural habitats boasting incredible diverse fauna and which have been home to some of the world’s oldest civilizations. To capture and exploit this fragile beautiful landscape from renewable resources we have to think twice, because it deserves our protection.

The goal of Solar Botanic has been, to examine the possibilities for solving the problems concerning access to clean energy and fresh water for everybody. We started with studying power generation by mimicking the architectural design of trees and shrubs; we are fitting the trees with Nanoleaves to capture and convert the solar radiation and wind energy, directly or indirectly, into electricity.

During this study we came to the  conclusion, that most desert regions contain abundant and inexhaustible sources of clean energy and fresh water, offering a huge potential for socio-economic approach.

With Green Desert Energy Carpets we can prevent desert migration. While at the same time generating clean electricity.

Every desert highway mile can generate as much as 1.2MW of clean electricity per year, or power over 200 homes, protects the environment from otherwise releasing 800 tons of CO2; Solar Botanic can do this via a biomimicry concept, Energy Harvesting Trees (EHT) convert light, heat and wind energy into clean electricity, and do not cause visual pollution or long-lasting damage to our environment and Ecosystems.
